We require 2 experienced AV insultation engineers to work on complex and large-scale AV insultation projects in the Midlands. You will be working for a global system integrator that offer carer progression toward project management. A gold investors in people accredited company so truly look after their staff.
Experience Required
• Minimum 1 year installing AV equipment
• Good level of experience on site implementing AV Installations
Relevant Certifications
• CTS AV Essentials
• Avixa Elements of System Fabrication
• Crestron Engineers Course
Primary Role Specific Responsibilities
• Installation of AV Systems
• Prepare project materials for on-site works.
• First and Second Fix Work. Involving Cabling, AV Equipment installation.
• Connection of AV equipment as per system design and technical drawings.
• To be fully involved in all onsite installation activities without exception where assigned.
• Good technical knowledge and awareness of details to be able to recognise when technical
problems are developing in the various disciplines, and to initiate appropriate corrective actions
• Good interpretation of any provided technical documentation to ensure on site install works are
carried out correctly and accurately. Supported by a willingness to ask for assistance and take
guidance where required.
• To ensure the termination and connection of all cabling and equipment is carried out to the
highest standard, labelled and installed neatly in accordance with standards
• Ensure engineer vehicles are well stocked with consumables.
• ownership of the goods signing out process when collecting equipment and materials for on-site
works.
• Exceptional eye for detail with all on site works.
Other Responsibilities
• Assist with rack building and pre-site system staging
• Assist where required in support escalations requiring additional engineering works
• Picking up and completing on or off-site task delegation from Project Manager
• Advise Senior Engineers and Project Managers of any updates to technical documentation based
on install works on site.
• Where directed, and if required, follow up directly any issues or technical questions with
manufacturers
• Proactive involvement in any Project Preparation tasks.
• Demonstrate a commitment to cover manufacturer-based training deemed relevant for systems
installation and remain aware and knowledgeable of changes in AV technology
• Ability to lead a team of junior employees or sub-contractors through on site works where
required on smaller project works.

• Good level of understanding of technical documentation provided as part of a project works
package
• Always maintain a professional approach to client / customer interaction
• Good level of knowledge and experience around Audio Visual install practice and standards
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude
and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of
instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Understanding of company structure and process management
• A good level of commercial awareness
• An exceptional Eye for detail to deliver a 1st class project

• Hold a UK Driving License
• Hold no known barriers preventing government and military level security vetting processes
• To look after and be responsible for all company property in your possession and to report any loss
or damage immediately
• If responsible for a vehicle, ensure the vehicle is kept clean, tidy and checked for serviceability on a
weekly basis
• To report any road traffic accidents or convictions you receive to the director – immediately on
enforcement
• Willingness to work away overnight anywhere across the UK or internationally
