· Advanced MS Excel is essential.

SAP FI/CO experience essential.

Experience

· Support to Head of Finance and Finance members on projects and other ad-hoc tasks.

· Support Head of Finance with creation of the annual Financial Statements.

· Perform disclosure packages. · Support during interim and year-end audits, providing samples to and answering queries from auditors promptly.

· Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations.

· Perform trial balance reviews during month-end.

· Calculation and posting of Transfer Net Margin Method cost allocation.

· Expense accruals: Reconciliation of departmental and centralised HQ incurred costs based on effective collaboration across the business.

· Payroll accounting: Accurate posting and reconciliation of salary and wage tax accounts across EMEA branches.

· Right-of-Use Assets: Maintain lease schedules in line with accounting standard IFRS 16 for ROU assets.

· Fixed Asset accounting: Accurate recording of fixed assets and depreciation in line with company policy.

· Inventory accounting: Ensure valuation of inventory is reflective of the net realisable value. Engage with Management on stock levels to drive sales and ensure inventory position is optimised. Reconciliation of goods-in-transit accounts.

· Revenue Accounting: Posting of digital revenue accruals and platform fee adjustments. Raising of invoices with Sony, Microsoft, Valve and merchandising customers. Calculation of sales reserves for COOP, SOA and Returns. Release of deferred revenue.

The main responsibilities within the role include:

The Financial Accountant will report to the Head of Finance and have a key responsibility for maintaining accurate accounts that reflect the financial position of the business. The role has a strong focus on preparation and execution of month-end accounting, supporting several key processes and collaborating with the other Finance functions and wider organization where required to maintain accurate accounts and disclose financial information to key stakeholders. SOX compliance and attention to detail are critical to the success of the accounting function.
